Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

Meta Thinking (“we”) built AI-Proxy to be private by design: it runs locally on your machine and is self-hosted. This policy explains what we do and don't collect.

What stays on your device

AI-Proxy is a local application. The OAuth tokens and credentials for the AI services you connect live on your Mac — they are never sent to or stored on our servers. Your prompts, model requests, and responses pass through the local gateway on your machine; we do not receive, log, or store their contents.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email and basic profile, handled by our auth provider Clerk, so you can sign in and we can associate your plan.
  • License data: an API key (hashed), your plan/status, and a timestamp of the last license check — used to verify entitlements.
  • Donation data: if you choose to support the project, PayPal processes the payment. We receive confirmation of the donation (amount, currency, status), but we never see or store your full payment details. Donations unlock nothing — AI-Proxy is free for everyone.
  • Product analytics: aggregate, privacy-respecting usage events to improve the product. No prompt or model content is included.

Third parties we use

We rely on a small set of processors: Clerk (authentication), PayPal (optional donations), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database for account/license records), and a privacy-focused analytics provider. Each processes data only to provide their service.

Cookies

The Site uses only the cookies necessary for authentication and security. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights & retention

You can access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting us. We retain account and license records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymize them.
